
Position: Lead Cook
Department: Food & Beverage
Reports To: Food & Beverage Shift Supervisor
Job Summary: This position is responsible for cooking and preparing orders for customers.
Duties and Responsibilities: (Specific areas of responsibility included but not limited to.)
- Coordinates with the inventory clerks that all the food needed is in stock, and that orders meet the par levels.
- Working with fellow employees with consistent friendly service.
- Projecting a positive image through exceptional team effort.
- Is responsible for the consistency of food production from the point of view of portions, taste and presentation.
- Cleaning cooking area & utensils.
- Assist Prep-Cook.
- Is responsible that all food be prepped for the next shift.
- Supervises the work of the kitchen staff on his /her shift.
- Independent in assuming tasks; must be persistent; firm and confident; practical approach, individualistic in problem solving.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Ability to read and write legibly
- Is available to work on any shift (day, swing or graveyard).
- Ability to stoop bends walks, reach objects above shoulder height and use hands
- Is able to stand for extended periods of time (up to 4 hours at a time).
- Ability to hear spoken communication and communicate orally
- Must have the ability to read, write and fill out any necessary paperwork.
- Must be able to use scale and any necessary equipment
- Ability to use any food preparation equipment
- Can lift up to 40 lbs
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, may be stressful at times.
- Ability to monitor business and react accordingly through communications with guests, management, and Food & Beverage employees.
- Must possess a valid Food Handlers certificate.
- Ability to obtain a valid gaming license.
