Position: Security Officer-EMT

Reports to: Security Lead Officer/Senior Officer/and Security Manager


Job Summary:

Responsible for properly executing security duties on assigned shift, administering first aid and emergency medical attention for Guests and Team Members on property as required.

Duties and Responsibilities: (Specific areas of responsibility included but not limited to.)

1. Attends to the medical needs of Guests and Team Members on assigned shift.
2. Maintain appropriate inventory control of such items as oxygen, wheelchairs, first aid supplies, and related office supplies, and orders needed supplies.
3. Generate necessary written reports regarding security-related incidents involving Guests, Team Members theft, and injury or property damage.
4. Continual active patrol of assigned areas to provide overall asset protection of Casino property and Guest/Team Member safety.
5. Must be able to operate a two-way portable radio to coordinate and dispatch information to all other radio users.
6. Must be familiar with all-applicable laws, rules and regulations governing the Casino.
7. Identify potential safety hazards and report them to appropriate individual for proper resolution.
8. Ensure safe transportation of Casino monies, gaming assets, and the safety of Team Members.
9. Interacts with Guests and Team Members in a positive and professional manner at all times.
10. Operates company vehicles when directed to do so.

11. Maintains a working knowledge of the Casinos facilities, as well as special events on property in order to advise Guests and fellow Team Members whenever possible.
12. Checks identification from all Guests who appear to be under the legal age to either gamble or consume alcoholic beverages.
13. Must learn company Emergency Action Guides to efficiently handle fires, evacuations, and robbery attempts in a calm and professional manner.

Mandatory Requirements:

1. Must maintain California certification requirements.
2. Must be a State Certified Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic at the time of hiring.
3. Must have a valid Driver License.
4. Must be in good physical condition to perform job duties, and required to talk, listen, stand, and walk 100% of the job time.
5. Must be able to keep up with a fast paced atmosphere and work under pressure.
6. Required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
7. High School Diploma or G.E.D.
8. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
9. Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations and carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form in a professional manner.
10. Must have organizational and planning skills.
11. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and special events.
12. Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
13. Ability to obtain a valid gaming license.
